It looks like Jackson’s got Hemorrhagic Septicemia. He developed red spots overnight, but he’s looking better since I started baby feeding him yesterday. I’m treating him with Furan 2 now. No other fish are showing symptoms.

He’s still looking alright, hasn’t gotten any worse. He’s more active than he was a couple days ago! It doesn’t look like he’s gotten any more red spots, either. He’ll be getting his second dose of Furan 2 tonight

It looks like he’s got internal bleeding 🙁

I’ve finished all four days of treatment, so I’m not really sure what to do – if I should give him a break and see if it gets better, repeat the treatment on the box, or do a higher dose

I went ahead and just continued doing the same treatment. He had six days of consecutive treatment, then I was out of town Saturday night so he missed that treatment. He’s actually looking better now so I’ve stopped treating, but he’s still in a bucket with the previous medication and will continue to be closely monitored and baby fed. The red that you can see in his abdomen is gone, his red spots are fading, and he’s got a very big appetite!

He’s looking a lot better!!! I put him in new water without medication yesterday. He’s way more active, and his red spots have pretty much faded! He’s only got a couple left. I’m going to keep him in the bucket until they’re completely gone, then he’ll be going back in the tank!!!

Jackson’s completely better and back in the tank! He looks even more vibrant than he did before he got sick
